Installation and Warranties provided by :
Narrow Gate Solar Company
Ridgecrest, CA

Specification of the system :
Solar Panels
Astronergy 255 Watt Polycrystalline Solar Panels

Micro Inverters incorporated in to the Solar Panel it self (see below for reference information)

System size will be 1.8 kW and will produce approximately 3500 kWh per year when facing South and can be expanded up to 17 panels with minimal additional electrical work.

Cost
Composition Shingles roof $6525
Tiled Roof $6940
(This is approximately 50% lower than what other vendors would charge)

We will get 30% back as a rebate from the Federal Govt after we submit our taxes
Therefore the final cost is
Composition Shingles roof $4567.50
Tiled Roof $4858

The Process :

Step 1
Commits customer to the project/install with Narrow Gate Solar Company.
Authorizes scheduling of physical site survey and actual on site measurements of your roof for PV modules, placement of inverter, AC disconnect location and connection required.
Complete preliminary roof array layout.

Step 2
Generate full scaled plan set, once customer agrees on panel and equipment layout.
Complete building department plan review forms and permit package.
Submit plans to building department for plan review and pay for plan review cost.
City plan review time can be from a few days to several weeks, varies with their workloads.
Pull permits and pay permit fees.
Start project installation.

Step 3
Project completed.
Project tested.
City Inspector approves project and signs off job card.

Step 4 : No cost
Permission to Operate (PTO) must be obtained from Southern California Edison.  Once plans have been approved by the building department there are two documents that will be provided to the customer for completion and then submitted with additional documentation provided by Narrow Gate Solar to Southern California Edison to begin the process (this often reduces the time it takes to receive approval from the utility company).  Once the project installation and final inspection are completed Narrow Gate Solar will submit the completed inspection record card (yellow card) to Southern California Edison for final approval.  PTO generally takes from two to four weeks from project completion.
